Probably many people may have this question how to increase the speed of downloadingespecially for torrent downloads since most of the large files are pushed to torrent downloads. This question repeatedly asked. Most of the users may face download speed issues in torrents. So they constantly keep looking for the solution for this problem. Let’s see what are the factors should be improved for faster torrent downloads. I don’t want to push you into too difficult technical strategies. Here I’ll help you with simple tricks

1. High speed Internet Service Provider

This is the first and most important thing. Without a High speed Internet service provider (ISP) it is not possible. Make sure you have a high speed Internet connection or switch to good high speed ISP. Even if you have a high speed ISP your location and other several factors which leads to a slow connection. There are 2 ways to choose a good ISP.

The first one is to check the speed of your Internet connection based upon the nearest server in your location. It is a simple test it will provide download and upload speed results of your connection available in your area





The second one is by Google Video quality report. YouTube provides a list of High speed Internet service providers in each country. Make sure your ISP is listed in the rating of HD Internet service provider.

2. Selection of torrents











Select torrent(s) which are in good health to download. Select the torrents with high number of seeds. Higher the number of seeds your download will speed up automatically.Make sure the torrent is verified and it has good ratings. Read the user comments before downloading it will make sure how much the file worth is? Since there is good chance that the seeds will stop seeding if the file is incorrect or not good. Then the torrent will become unhealthy and have to face download speed issues. If you can find the health information about torrent. Make sure the torrent health is good. If the torrent health is poor no matter how may seeds the torrent may have your downloads will stuck in the middle or won’t be completed



3. Limit the upload speed

I don’t how much this will help you. Limiting the upload speeds will help you to increase download speed in some cases.



4. Switch to a faster torrent client

If you use uTorrent and bittorrent there are some high speed alternative torrent clients. Here I have four alternatives you can check these out

5. Set Priority and unselect unwanted files

This won’t increase the speed of downloads it saves time. If you are downloading multiple files in single torrent you can unselect the files which you don’t need. It saves time and bandwidth. Also set priority or preference to the file which you need the most, so that you can get the file quickly.
