 how to format write protected USB with Reg edit method:

1: First thing is first open reg edit file via run command type (Win+r) and then enter “regedit”  into it.

2: Now click on HKEY_Local_Machine to expand its files.After clicking you will show a list of files which contains in that folder.

3: Now Click and expand the last file names as SYSTEM.

4: In the SYSTEM files Click on CurrentControlSet file and expand it too.

5: Click on Control file (first file under CurrentControlSet files).

6: After this look for Storage Device Policies file in it.(Below is the Screen Shots of all above steps).

7: When you got that file click on it after click on it you will see two files on right box named as”Default” and “Write Protect“.

8: Open the Write Protect File by clicking on it.After clicking it will show you a pop up window which has “1” in Value Data field.Change it to “0” and click OK button to save it. Note: “1” this will block write processes on USB Flash Drives.”0″ this will Allow write processes on USB Flash Drives.

9: Last Step:Restart your system in order to implement the changes that we make.That’s all   .After restart you can now add,delete, edit as well as Format Your USB Pin Drive and SD Card.

Method 2:

1: Press Window+R then Enter msconfig.
2: Click on Boot tab and check Safe boot button and check “ACTIVE DIRECTORY REPAIR“.If you not check this one then your PC will not boot.
3: Click on Apply Button and then click OK.
4: Now restart your PC.
5: After restart Insert USB Drive to Format.
6: in order to format in run command box type compmgmt.msc then hit Enter.
7: In new Window that appear after entering Find Disk Management then click on it.
